Dear Creator,
We're really in it now, huh?
I’ve tried to provide as much information as possible but, as always, please feel free to reach out to me through modmail for any point of clarification! I’d also like to stress that, with the exception of DNWs, all information given through prompts is purely suggestion and preference. More than anything else, I’m excited to see what comes of this.
Thank you so much for your participation!! Let’s get this!!
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this! I hope it helps!

[General Likes]
- Arranged marriages, high-stakes courtships, and other politically/societally enforced excuses to smoosh two characters together
- Complex trauma responses, especially those that neither the traumatised individual nor those around them are equipped to respond to; characters being "bad victims"
- Sex as a form of therapy (encouraged, forced, or by self or partner), especially if it's unsuccessful
- Jealousy, envy, perceived rejection
- Illness, injury, hurt/comfort
- Noncon and dubcon, the more loving the better
- Father/daughter incest, sibling incest. Identical twin incest is my favourite.
- Somnophilia my beloved. Breeding and pregnancy my beloved. Captivity my beloved. Questionable roleplay my b-
[General DNW]
- Scat, even vaguely
- Digestive emeto; blood and Things That Should Not Be There To Begin With (eg bugs, computer parts, plants) VERY ok!
- Maternal incest; other forms of crossgen ok!; mommy kink ok!
- Explicit, on-screen suicide or suicidal ideation; past references to attempts or ideation ok!
- Feederism, weight fetishes
- Whipping with power cables or other electrical equipment
- Harm to, death of, or violence against cats specifically
[(safety) LES YEUX SANS VISAGE (1960)] Notes and Details
- DNW Christiane’s face getting “fixed.” It is very, very important to me that she never be able to physically recover.
- Otherwise, I'm not particularly picky about this movie. It's one of my favourites, yes, but I picked it specifically because I'm excited to see what someone else would do with its characters, symbols, and mood!
- The movie can be found on archive dot org for free!
- Its wikipedia page also gives a quick rundown of the characters. There aren't many of them, but some may find it difficult telling the four vaguely nymphish French women apart.
[(safety) LES YEUX SANS VISAGE (1960)] Dr. Génessier/Christiane Génessier
- The relationship between these two is one of my all-time favourites.
- The crux of this relationship, and to a certain extent, the movie itself, is whether Dr. G does what he does out of love for his daughter or out of a need for control. Personally, my answer to that is "yes," but I want to see what you think.
- I'm particularly interested in stories that reflect Christiane's memories of her father previous to her disfigurement. Not every father would go to the lengths that Dr. G does, and I'd like to see what experiences may have paved the way for his actions.
- The relationship can be romantic, sexual, or both. It can be one sided or mutual.
- I'm also particularly interested in how Christiane's fiancee, Jacques, plays into things. Clearly, Dr. G approved of Jacques to some degree, yet does not see him as an ally. Christiane, meanwhile, reaches for Jacques before anyone else. In the context of an incestuous relationship, why might this be?
[(safety) LES YEUX SANS VISAGE (1960)] Christiane/Paulette(/Jacques)
- I'm sorry but "You look enough like me that my Father tried to cut your face off of your skull and transplant it onto mine" is such phenomenal grounds for a ship. I'm not sorry for saying it, but I am sorry for being so very correct.
- Twincest that isn’t twincest. Persona (1966) but for Francophiles. God, it’s so perfect!
- If Jacques is involved, I think it could be fascinating to get a read on how he feels as someone who is not directly in danger, but is nonetheless involved. Also, imagine loving two women who are the same but different. Imagine you are pulled by this woman who looks so much like your fiancee once did, imagine the kind of guilt that would inspire. Then, consider, what it would be to find that the two subjects of your bizarre affections are engaged in a psychosexual battle for what might be a singular identity, but might also be a shared love.
- I place this vision, this fever dream, in your open palms. I am the shady figure at the back of the tavern and you are the lvl 5 adventurer. Bring me this and you will receive one (1) shitty jpg of a gold coin.
[(safety) LES YEUX SANS VISAGE (1960)] Dr. Génessier/ Jacques
- I nominated this ship because I have absolutely zero idea what it would look like, but I DO know that it would be exquisitely fucked up.
- Maybe this is an exploration of what could happen if Christiane dies. Maybe Dr. G fully intended to induct Jacques into his own relationship with Christiane once they were married. Maybe Dr. G’s ghost decides to haunt his son-in-law and ends up corrupting the boy with his overwhelming, possessive, destructive love!
- There’s a lot of potential here. Let me see what you can do with it!
[(safety) DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS (1977)] Notes and Details
- DNW on-screen and explicit racism towards Diane; reference to her experiences as a black woman in the 1970s ok. DNW Sharon’s Brother’s hands to heal postcanon.
- “Hey, Eilie! Did you nominate Death Bed as your safety as a joke? You can’t possibly hold a genuine attachment to this movie, right?” Excellent question! Anyways,
- All silliness aside, the reason I nominated Death Bed is that even when it’s at its worst, it’s still got that spark. Its biggest issues are pretty clearly the result of amateurism and, in a time where the movie industry churns out massive blockbusters that are ultimately forgotten within a year, I can kind of appreciate that!
- The magic of Death Bed in this exchange is that it is your city now. As of this letter, there is not a single fic for Death Bed on AO3 (and, if we’re being realistic, probably not anywhere else, either). You get to be the first!
- Additionally, the worldbuilding in the movie is, er, minimalistic? Yeah, sure, let’s call it that. Its themes and vibes are of that special breed where a seasoned writer can easily create something exceptional just by involving the key symbols in a fun way.
- And, like! Maybe it’s just because contemporary major cinema is so sexless, but I absolutely adore how much of a late 70s movie this is. It’s horror, but it’s bad horror. It’s not porn, but it sure is horny. I’m not even sure if one can argue fetish here; it’s just a shambling mass of poor financial decisions, naivety, and the Id driving it all. How can I not want to see someone take the wheel?
- Basically, I want someone to find the potential in this movie and draw it from the depths. I want someone to stake their claim on this unsettled earth and build a goddamn Winchester House on top. This may be the only fic that is ever written for Death Bed, which is why I’ve nominated for this exchange specifically. Are you the architect I’m looking for?
- Oh, one last thing! Aubrey Beardsley’s Wikipedia page is here, but as a quick summary: Aubrey Beardsley (1872-1898) was an English illustrator who partied with Oscar Wilde, loved the grotesque, and rocked some killer bangs. His sexuality is in question to this day; though he was a noted ‘eccentric’ and spent an awful lot of time around famous gay men, it is heavily theorised that he had a romantic/sexual relationship with his sister. He died of tuberculosis a mere thirteen months after his conversion to Catholocism.
- Or, according to Death Bed, he was eaten alive by possessed furniture, buried behind his own painting, and then forced to watch idiot teens get raunchy for the rest of eternity.
- (For the record, I have a genuine respect for Beardsley and his work. That’s part of why his inclusion here befuddles me. I have no idea what to do with any of this, and I’m kind of hoping that “get someone to write 10k words about his fictionalised personage” is a potential option.)
[(safety) DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS (1977)] Diane/Suzan/ Sharon
- I am so fascinated by this trio of women who are just… wandering the countryside, I guess? Just walking through the underbrush and entering random houses. One of them is Catholic, apparently.
- Diane is my absolute favourite character in this movie, to be clear. Her actress brings a sense of determination to the role that I’m not sure anyone else would have been able to. She’s the keystone in this relationship, the one who demonstrates any drive at all.
- Sharon, meanwhile, is such a strange little waif. Were she not so important to the plot, I’m pretty sure she would’ve washed out with the stop bath. Though technically the leading lady, she’s a verified specter on screen, which makes the casting kinda funny, kinda perfect. My word, this girl is SO haunted! And clearly has something weird going on with her brother? Man, I don’t even know. I’m a little in love with her.
- And then there’s Suzy! Is she cannon fodder? A little bit, I guess. Considering how memorable (and drawn out) her death scene is, I find it a little hard to be definitive here. Also, like, why is she the one to feel ill before coming into the house when Sharon is the one who may or may not be a reincarnation of the demon’s lover? Is it because she’s Catholic? Did they mix something up in shooting and have to backtrack to make it “””make sense?””” No idea! But I do love that she’s a little bratty about it all.
- Altogether, I’m fascinated in what this relationship would look like. If canon divergence is too messy and precanon isn’t interesting enough to you, I would be absolutely tickled by some sort of AU in which they all work together and have to roadtrip around.
[(safety) DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS (1977)] Sharon’s Brother/ Aubrey Beardsley
- Man who probably did incest with his sister/ man who probably did incest with his sister. What a fascinating way to start a pairing.
- On that note, I find it interesting that Aubrey uhhhh basically killed Sharon. Like. That’s gotta sow some kind of resentment. Or relief! Or both.
- Does this count as RPF? I have no idea. You can decide whether this is actual, literal Aubrey Beardsley or some kinda, like, spirit that has taken on his form. Up to you!
- This one is mostly here in case I warrant a pinch hit. Or in case someone is so interested in Aubrey Beardsley that they feel the need to give a history lesson in fanfic form, I guess? If you’re the kind of person who would do the latter, PLEASE apply. I want to know who you are.
[(safety) DEATH BED: THE BED THAT EATS (1977)] Sharon’s Brother/ Sharon
- Come on. The climax of the film is basically just them having sex. Like. Come on!
- I can envision a somewhat grounded, somewhat melodramatic postcanon in which Sharon’s Brother has to help his sister’s resurrected preincarnate self adapt to the late 70s, all the while haunted by whatever remains of Sharon herself. If The Resurrected (as she is billed in the script) is a little demonic, even better. If, despite being a more socially acceptable partner, she still cannot quite compare to Sharon in his eyes, even better…er.
- This woman had a Demon fall in love with her. Though we know so little about her, I think that in itself makes her worth exploring.
[FFXIV] Notes and Details
- DNW nonmagical AU. DNW Thancred/Louisoix where Thancred consents; dubcon is ok.
[FFXIV] Fourchenault/Thancred
- I would kill for Fourchenault/Thancred with background Thancred/Louisoix.
- Like. Whether or not Louisoix held any attraction towards Fourchenault- dealer’s choice on that one, by the way- there are implications to bedding an adopted son that I cannot imagine the biological son would enjoy very much.
- The fact that they grew up together but never speak to or about one another lives in my head at all times.
- Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about one of them taking on Louisoix’s role in the bedroom- not literally role playing him, per se, but using specific language and tools. Like, as though “Louisoix” were an office, not a person. I think that it would be a great opportunity to demonstrate the differences in their relationships with the man. I don’t think it would be prenegotiated, but more along the lines of someone attempting a low blow and then finding that, uh, hey, that was oddly cathartic. But that’s just my two cents, not a requirement in any way!
- Since this is Heart Attack, I’m very, very interested in the reactions of characters not directly involved in this absolute disaster of a relationship. God, especially Ameliance. I love Ameliance so dearly. When her overwhelming love for her husband drives her to play 4D chess with his worst self, my heart sings. They’re kind of terrible for each other. I love it.
[BG3] 1: Amanita Szarr
- THE girl of all time.
- I wouldn’t want a full epistolary, but I certainly wouldn’t say no to something that heavily features Lady Incognita’s letters.
- My favourite thing about Amanita is that she is both ingenue and attic wife. She is thirteen, and will forever be thirteen. Her brain will never physically develop enough to have adult feelings or make adult decisions, and she will never outgrow the fantastical thinking of that age group. Still, even an eternal thirteen-year-old learns over time, and even an eternal thirteen-year-old trapped in an attic will experience some degree of time.
- She is older than thirteen, but she isn’t, but she has lived long enough to be, but she hasn’t experienced enough to truly say she lived, but she has withstood time itself long enough to- augh! It drives me so insane! This is the most thirteen year old girl thing I have ever heard!!
- Basically, I want to see what she does in that attic, and how she reaches beyond its confines. I want to know what a girl who has been left to stew in her pubescent sense of justice does with the limited resources at her disposal.
- And, hey, if Cazador picked that age for a reason? If he knew she would be just old enough to be clever in her rebellion?
- That could sincerely slap!!!
[BG3] Victoria & Amanita Szarr
- If you didn’t read the above, I recommend doing so!
- Poor Victoria. Her whole situation was just so fucked.
- I wish she could have had a friend and, whoa hey look at that, I also wish Amanita could have had a friend! Convenient!
- This request is basically the same as above, but with the added element of a girl who, yes, is also trapped in an adjacent unfair situation, but could theoretically escape. How do they broaden one another’s worlds? How do they assist each other? What can they learn from one another?
- I’d also love to see the other tenants involved in some way. One major difference between Amanita and Victoria’s situations is that Victoria has much easier access to the Spawn.
- Oh. And please terrify Leon when you can. I think it makes good conflict.
[BG3] Cazador/Vellioth
- Ahaha. Ahahahaha.
- Uhhh yeah. There’s a lot that Cazador’s relationship with Astarion infers about his relationship with Vellioth, isn’t there?
- My favourite Cazador is the one who presents little difference between obsessive love and unfettered hate. I like him a little hysterical, what can I say! For the sake of this prompt, I would want to see him in a more nascent stage; still capable of being horrified, but not for much longer. I want his cruelty to still be on a leash.
- I want an unexpected guest to arrive. I want Cazador to be given a role to play in front of this stranger. Ideally, it would be something that appears fairly normal on the surface, if a little unnecessary. In reality, however, the role would be so very pointed, and have very dark implications to Cazador specifically.
- Dealer’s choice on the guest :)
- Other options in the same vein include preparation for an event (either at home or away), a brief trip into unfamiliar territory, or a big change in local government forcing the Szarrs to adapt.
- I’m open to other ideas as well ofc, but that’s the general vibe I want to see!
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this! I hope it helps!
